Marma Therapy for Digestive Problems: Bloating, Acidity and a Sluggish Gut
Share
Bloating after meals, acidity, constipation, a heavy feeling after eating. These are common and easy to dismiss as "just stomach issues", but in Ayurveda digestion sits at the centre of health. Marma Therapy for digestion works on the body's vital points to support it.
How Ayurveda Sees Digestion
Digestive strength is called Agni, the digestive fire. When Agni is weak or irregular, food is not processed well and discomfort follows. Stress, irregular meals, cold or heavy food and poor sleep all disturb it. The pattern differs by constitution: Vata tends toward gas and constipation, Pitta toward acidity and burning, and Kapha toward heaviness and sluggishness.
What Marma Therapy Does
I work gently on vital points over the abdomen, the back and along the limbs that are linked to digestive function. The aim is to ease tension, support circulation and help the body settle out of the stress state that disturbs digestion. Tension in the abdomen and back is often part of the picture, because the gut responds closely to stress. See what happens in a Marma Therapy session.
What Clients Often Notice
- Less bloating and heaviness after meals
- More regular bowel movements
- Fewer flare-ups of acidity when stress is high
- A calmer abdomen and better sleep
Results vary, and long-standing digestive patterns respond over a course of sessions, not one visit.

Please take any of these on the advice of an Ayurvedic physician, especially if you are pregnant or on medication. Our guides to Triphala and the Sattvic diet cover daily eating habits.
When to See a Doctor First
Please see a doctor promptly for blood in stool, black stools, unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting, severe or ongoing abdominal pain, or difficulty swallowing. Persistent digestive symptoms need proper diagnosis. Marma Therapy supports comfort and does not replace medical evaluation.
A Note from Actvebody
